Do you know how often your windshield wiper blades need to be replaced? Are you aware of the signs that your blades are starting to deteriorate? The team at Annapolis Hyundai is here to help.

When the weather takes a turn, your windshield wiper blades are an integral part of maintaining visibility. When your wiper blades get too old or overused, they no longer contact the windshield the way they should. They cannot clear your view as quickly as they should, leaving you in a dangerous situation.

At Annapolis Hyundai, we get plenty of questions about changing the oil in a car that isn't used often. There are all kinds of standards out there, including in your owner's manual, but when you have a vehicle that isn't driven often, the rules are different.

The rules are different because a low mileage vehicle may not travel at high speeds enough to burn off condensation in the engine. If this is happening, that means that your oil is breaking down more often than a vehicle driven a standard amount of time throughout the year.

Many people buy a used vehicle because they want to save money. However, if you want to have additional reassurance, then you should buy a certified pre-owned vehicle. A certified pre-owned Hyundai has gone through a 173 point inspection. The inspection will check the mechanical features, safety features and appearance. Nothing will be overlooked during the inspection.

There are also many standards that have to be met before a vehicle can even be a candidate to receive a certified pre-owned label. The vehicle cannot be more than five years old or have more than 60,000 miles on it.

The NHTSA issues vehicle safety ratings annually. They use a five-star rating in the areas of front crash, side barrier, side pole and rollover. Our Annapolis Hyundai team receives the most vehicle safety rating questions about rollover. What does it mean? How does the NHTSA test and rate it?

Rollover Resistance 101

Rollover resistance is a measure of a vehicle's top-heaviness, also called Static Stability Factor. This test determines how likely a particular vehicle is to tip and roll after it performs a severe driving maneuver.

A powertrain warranty covers the most expensive parts of the vehicle that ensure the motion of the vehicle. These parts include the engine, driveshaft, and transmission. A powertrain warranty repairs and replaces when either of the parts mentioned are damaged.

The powertrain warranty has the most extended coverage. A bumper-to-bumper warranty insures everything in between the jumpers. It takes care of most car system repairs and replacements. A bumper-to-bumper warranty has a shorter coverage compared to the powertrain warranty while at the same time having

In a few minutes, you can check your automotive battery's charge at your Annapolis-area home. You will need an electronic device called a multimeter, which is available for under $20.

Testing your battery begins with running your headlights for two minutes without your engine running. This step disperses your battery's surface charge. Skipping this step can produce an unreliable reading. After two minutes, turn off your headlights, and ensure that your battery's metal terminals are clean. If you find corrosion, remove it with a terminal brush.

Hyundai has stepped its game up as a premier automaker with the release of the new Palisade SUV. This marvelous piece of machinery offers plenty of cargo space as well as comfortable surfaces for its interior. This just so happens to include premium leather. Up to three rows of seats are available, which is roomy enough to seat an entire family if need be.

The Hyundai Palisade will come standard with a 291-horsepower engine. We can't forget to mention that all-wheel drive is on the menu for additional levels of traction.

For a well-rounded vehicle that is comfortable and practical, consider a new Hyundai Elantra. This has been a popular choice in Annapolis for a long time, and with good reason. The team at Annapolis Hyundai thinks the Elantra makes a great choice as a daily commuter, family car, or both.

In total, there are four different engines to choose from, including a hybrid setup. There are also a variety of transmissions available, depending on the powertrain. Essentially, Hyundai makes it easy to find an Elantra that matches your style of driving.
