At Annapolis Hyundai, we get plenty of questions about changing the oil in a car that isn't used often. There are all kinds of standards out there, including in your owner's manual, but when you have a vehicle that isn't driven often, the rules are different.

The rules are different because a low mileage vehicle may not travel at high speeds enough to burn off condensation in the engine. If this is happening, that means that your oil is breaking down more often than a vehicle driven a standard amount of time throughout the year.

Have your vehicle serviced and determine if you need to change your oil more often because of the high condensation level. Typically you will need to service your car twice a year and have the oil changed.
