What does the upcoming 2017 Hyundai Sonata have in common with a black hole? It can bend light.

A new feature called Dynamic Bending Light will be available on several 2017 Hyundai models, including the Elantra, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport, and the all-new Ioniq. Unlike a supermassive black hole, galaxy cluster, or other stellar object, the feature will not be bending light in the technical sense.

They're much too efficient and lightweight to cause

This month, the IIHS finished up testing of the 2017 Santa Fe Sport, and the results came back beautifully.

If you're trying to decide between a hybrid, an EV or a plug-in, your decision may have just become a little more difficult as Hyundai recently introduced all three variants of its new Ioniq.

With Hyundai's plan to launch 26 green models through 2020 -- including approximately six PHEVs, two EVs, two hydrogen fuel cells and 12 hybrids -- we were expecting an exciting roll-out of efficient vehicles and the introduction to the Ioniq family surely did not disappoint.

It seems that Hyundai is pretty eager to get its Genesis nameplate off the ground. Since announcing the marque in December and unveiling the G90 shortly thereafter, it's clear that they're ready to come out of the gates swinging. Better yet, we've gotten our first look at the premium automaker's first concept: the New York prototype.
