U.S. News and World Report compares cars across many categories - like safety, reliability, crash test scores, and driver assistance features. It's quite an honor then, that the 2017 Hyundai Elantra has earned the top spot on its list of top teen cars for the 2017 model year.

Criteria Considered in the Elantra's High Score

The 2017 Elantra was pitted against competitors across several categories. It won U.S. News & World Report over with it's impressive array of safety technology, features, and design. It features driver assistance tech like blind spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and more. Those ranking the Elantra also appreciated its vast array of trims - six to be exact- which allowed teens to option their car to their liking, and of course, to their parents' bugets.
