The Safe Exit Assist System is standard with the Santa Fe. This system helps keep your passengers safe by detecting for approaching cars from the rear. If a passenger tries to open the door, and the system detects that vehicles are approaching, the system will issue a visual and audible alert.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance is another standard safety feature with the Santa Fe. This system uses the sensors from the Blind Spot Detection System to monitor for vehicles that are approaching from either side when you are in reverse. If a vehicle is approaching, you will be given a warning, and this system can also engage the automatic brakes when necessary.
