While not quite as sprightly as its brawnier V8 brother, the Genesis's entry-level 3.8-liter V6 engine is nonetheless a gem. Synced with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, this six-banger produces a plentiful 311 horsepower and 293 pound-feet of torque.

We'd also note that -- unlike its eight-cylinder sibling -- all-wheel drive is available as an option with the base V6. Select the all-wheel system and the Genesis will be ready for year-round adventures, no matter what Mother Nature may throw its way.
