Beginning in June, Hyundai Motor America had reported best ever monthly sales for five straight months. This morning we learned that the streak continues on, as the 60,007 units delivered represented a record setting month of November, and a 12 percent increase over November 2014.

The Tucson, redesigned for the 2016 model year, saw an increase of 90 percent over last year. The compact CUV caught the eye of customers and critics alike, as it earned "International Family Car of the Year" honors from Road & Travel Magazine. It was also named "Best Compact Crossover" by Spanish-language automotive radio show, Reudas ESPN.

“With the combination of a strong economy, lower gas prices and improving crossover inventory, Hyundai experienced a record November,” said Derrick Hatami, vice president of national sales for Hyundai Motor America. “In addition to our Tucson nearly doubling its sales over November 2014, a number of our products experienced double digit sales gains.”

The Elantra led all Hyundai sales for the month of November, with 17,634 units delivered.
