Hyundai Boasts Impressive Sales Records for May

Small sales gains are still gains: and it means the company who is achieving the gains is steadily continuing to grow stronger month-after-month.

To whom is Annapolis Hyundai referring?

Why, South Korean automaker, Hyundai, who for the month of May is celebrating the sale of 68,358 new Hyundai models: a two percent increase from last year at the same time. What's more, Hyundai is also boasting an eight percent increase from the very impressive and strong April it had. All-in-all, May represents Hyundai's second-best all-time sales month and fastest daily-selling rate (DSR) of all time.

"May was a high-velocity sales month for us, with the post-Memorial Day frenzy leaving us well positioned for the summer selling season. An across-the-board strengthening of key economic indicators and our strong Assurance Connected Care message drove prospective customers to our showrooms in droves to check out the strongest lineup of cars and CUVs in our history,"¹

So, which new Hyundai models, specifically, made the biggest impact for May?

Per usual, the key players were the Hyundai Elantra, Sonata and Santa Fe, with the ever-popular Elantra leading the pack. The specifics of its May sales amount to 25,090 for the month: a 33 percent increase from the same time in 2012.
